Our Assembly

Our assembly went great!  We were superstars!  Our only hiccup was the music not working and the kids continued on like professionals.

Term 2 Week 7 and 8

My apologies for the lack of photos this week. I seem to be having issues loading them.

We had such a busy week last week that we didn't have time to blog.  So this week you get to hear about two weeks of learning.

We are very excited because we will be doing our assembly this afternoon.  We hope you will all be able to come and see us show off our learning.

This week we learnt about the letter l.

 

We went hunting through the bush for lots of interesting leaves. We used them to make leaf collages.

 

 We learnt a new app.  It is called Aurasma.  When you look at certain pictures through this app amazing things happen.  In our dinosaur world a real dinosaur appears when we look at it through Aurasma.  We have also made some videos about how our family members show us they love us.  Miss R then put the video over the top of our paintings so you can see us explaining our picture. 

Parents, the Aurasma app is free to download and if you bring your smartphone in I can show you how to search for the channel that contains the students work.

 

 

In week 8 we learnt about the letter w.

 

We have been exploring water,

 

and eating watermelon.

 

 

 

We watched a puppet show about recycling.  It was very funny.

Term 2 Week 6

We stamped 70 stamps on the number 70.  We did it in groups of 10.

 

 

 

We put feathers and feet into our alphabet book.

 

In Religion we are talking about families.  We drew a picture of our fabulous families.

 

We have been reading non fiction books.  They are books that are about real things.

 

 

This week we learnt how to use the Paint program.  It was lots of fun!

 

We were doing our finger painting.

 

 The dentist came to visit us today.  We had to open our mouths very wide so they could peek inside.

 

 

 

 

Term 2 Week 5

This week we found the letter z.

 

We decorated zig zag zebras.

We have been exploring plants this week.  We are discovering how they help us.  We are using the ipad to share what we discovered.

Mr C came to help us turn the pebble pit into a zen garden.  We helped shovel all the white sand in.

We had our prayer service.  It was beautiful.  We sang like angels and said all the prayers beautifully.  Thank you to all the families that came along to celebrate with us.

We have our own journals because Miss R thinks we are all wonderful writers.  We will use them to write about things we learn.

 

Next week we are changing our news.  We will only be having news on Tuesday and Thursday.  There is a note in the communication book about the new days.
