Term 2 Week 9

This week we learnt about the letter m.

We covered our m with money and rubbed over money to make prints in our alphabet books.

Our sunflowers have really started to grow.  We can't wait until they get flowers on them.  Hopefully there will be some rain over the holidays to keep them growing.

We went on an imaginary excursion to a farm this week.  We watched a video about chickens laying eggs, sheep being shorn and spinning wool and cows getting milked.  We used our super strong arms to shake some cream until we turned it into butter.  Most of us even had a taste of it.

After our 'excursion' to the farm some of us created a picture in paint sparkles and then imported it into educreations so we could share why animals are important.

In Religion we talked about how sometimes family members don't show love to each other which can make us and our family sad.  We worked out that if we say sorry we can help make the person feel happy again.

We finished our week off with Derby Day.  We had a visit from Rick the Rock Eagle and had tabloid sports in the afternoon.  What a great day!

Wow, the end of another term.  It feels like term 2 only just started and yet here we are at the end.

Thank you to all those parents who have helped out this semester in any way, shape or form.

Don't forget to collect your 100 beautiful things over the holidays and watch out for all those letters and sounds all around you.

Have a wonderful holiday and I will see you all in 2 weeks.
