Term 3 Week 1

Welcome back to school.  The children have all come back with fantastic attitudes and are raring to go.

This term the children have chosen to learn about space.  We can't go into space for real so we have built a little corner of space in our classroom.  As we learn more about space we will be able to add things into it.

We found the letter h.

We covered our letter h with hearts.

We made helicopters to go in our alphabet books.

We made helicopters that spun like real helicopters.

We talked about questions.  Then we thought of a question about space and painted a picture of it.

We learnt how to give compliments to other people.  A compliment is when you say something nice about someone else.

We learnt how to use our headphones with our ipads.  The headphones help us to hear the ipad better.

Look how much our sunflowers grew over the holidays.

Here is some of the learning that happened while we played.

We made a giant house.

We made a frogs river. The idea came after we saw the frog pond that Mrs M and the year 6's built.
We built the biggest castle we ever made.

Today was a cold, wet and rainy day.  The perfect day to stay inside and read a book.  Our year 5 buddies came down and read us some books.
