Our Excursion to Remida

What a great day we had today.

When we got to the Remida Centre we met Nadia who showed us around the centre.

We went to the rooms where they kept all their recycled materials and had a chance to explore all the different materials.  There was so many things to touch and play with.

Then we got to use the materials to create an alien.  It was very tricky because Nadia had no glue or sticky tape so we had to find other ways of joining our creations together.  We used wire, string, screws and nails.

Here are some of our alien creations.

God was nice enough to give us a break from the rain so we could enjoy our lunch at Kings Park.  We went to the Naturescape playground.  It was lots of bush and logs and creeks.  Kind of like our playground but much bigger!  It was awesome, we wish we could have stayed much longer.

After such a busy day it is no wonder some of us needed a little doze on the way home.

A big thank you to our parent helpers who had to do as much problem solving as the children!

  1. Wow Pre Primary what a fabulous time you had on your excursion! I love all the Aliens you made, you are super clever and so lucky to have had such a great day out! Big thanks to Miss Redden & Mrs Bradder (I bet they wanted to sleep on the bus too!)

  2. What a fantastic idea for an excursion! I bet it was tricky to create the aliens with no glue and sticky tape, you all did such a great job. Having lunch at King's Park - now that is what you call a playground - that tower staircase? looked terrifying but you were brave to climb up !!
