Term 1 Week 4

This week we learnt that we can use the pictures to read a story.

We went on a shape hunt.  We found shapes all over the school.

After we found shapes everywhere we made our own shape pictures.

We practised drawing our shapes but we overlapped the shapes.  Then we painted them lots of different colours.  You will have to look really closely to find our hidden shapes.

We are talking about Fairytales so we all painted a picture of our favourite fairytale.

We have a castle in our classroom.  Here we are pretending we are knights, dragons, princesses, queens and witches.

We read a story about how much Jesus loves children.  Then we practiced our pencil grip andcoloured in a picture of Jesus and the children.

We have names for our fingers.  There is Thelma Thumb, Percy Pointer and Tim theTall Man.  These three fingers hold our pencil.  Thelma and Percy go in the front of the pencil car and Tim the Tall man goes in the back seat.

Our Year Five buddies came to visit us.  We had lots of fun showing them our classroom.

Today Zero the Hero came back to visit because 20 has a 0 in it.  He brought us a giant 20 and we had to put 20 stickers in it.  That is a lot of counting!
